So getting it right is crucial! </p> <p style="text-align: justify;">When you get to the application stage we will want to find out a bit more about you, however we see our recruitment process as being two ways. We want to tell you more about us as well as us finding out about you. We are looking for managers with great sales ideas as well as the ability to convert those sales into profit. As a company we employ both single managers and management couples.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">For our Licensed Retail Managers we look for people with:</p> <ul> <li>A proven track record in running a pub business</li> <li>Experience of managing and developing a team</li> <li>A Personal Licence</li> <li>The ability to manage and understand your profit & loss account</li> <li>Good organisation & communications skills</li> <li>Great Customer focus</li> <li>High operational standards</li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify;">We have some pubs that are at the heart of the community so customer interaction is very important. This could include running quiz nights, charity events or just generally making them feel welcome.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Some of our pubs deliver volume food sales and we look for managers who have experience of this in the past, as well as fantastic organisational skills.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Some of our bars operate a chameleon style operation which could include a great lunch time trade, but in the evening they transform into a lively bar with a party atmosphere.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Several of our pubs and bars have hotel accommodation and many of these operate under our Marston s Inns brand. The number of rooms can vary from 10 rooms to over 60 rooms; dependant on the site. We don't have one style of site all of our Marston s Inns are unique and that is our strength we can make every customer s stay with us special. From the rooms themselves to the food and drink we provide; we try to ensure that it s the next best place to home.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">For those managers working within our community pubs, you have the opportunity to join our brand new Retail Manager Partnership Agreement. This is a contract with a new bonus arrangement. Your bonus is paid monthly and is based on a percentage of the pub s profits and is uncapped (and not dependent on budget).
