There are a number of career opportunities within Marston's Inns and Taverns dependant on your individual career aspirations. One of the great things about Marston's Inns and Taverns is that we have a diverse portfolio of pubs which includes a food, community, bars and hotel division which allows for you to move into different style pubs and bars at different stages of your career.

Here at Marston's Inns and Taverns we have the opportunity for LRM's to train and develop other managers through our Buddy Training Programme which is induction for new managers.

For Managers who want to take an active role in training and development at refurbishments and new build pubs we have Area Support Trainers (AST). AST's are managers who spend time training and developing team members on everything from customer service to legal training.

As a company there a number of pubs which are re-branded each year as well as new build pubs. These are promotion pubs that are available to managers who are ready to take the challenge for the next step up.

For some managers they want to take a different route be it into Operations or Head Office. A number of Head Office people started out their career in one of our pubs. We also carry out a Trainee Area Operations Manager programme which is a 12 month development programme for a LRM to become an Area Manager.

All our LRM's have an annual appraisal where individual training, development and aspirations are discussed on a one-to-one basis with the Area Operations Manager.
